Cambridge Healthtech Institute’s Inaugural

Autoimmunity

August 12, 2025

A recent shift in funding priorities toward autoimmunity has driven researchers to broaden their focus beyond immuno-oncology, opening new avenues for discovery and groundbreaking therapeutics. Join us at Cambridge Healthtech Institute's Inaugural Autoimmunity conference on August 12th, to explore molecular mechanisms shaping the autoimmune disease microenvironment, including innate immune pathways like TLRs and the microbiome's interaction with the immune system. Sessions will showcase breakthroughs in CAR T and ADCs for autoimmunity, improved B cell targeting, transient treatment strategies, and managing T cell exhaustion and resistance. We will also examine biomarkers for predicting treatment outcomes and how learnings from immuno-oncology can be applied to autoimmune diseases. By integrating foundational science with therapeutic innovations, this conference provides a unique opportunity to address challenges and define future directions in autoimmunity research and treatment.

Who should attend:

- Biotech founders in IO
- Pharma directors
- Principal and senior scientists
- IO professors and post-docs
- Immunologists and oncologists
- Computational biologists
- Regulatory-affairs specialists
- Clinical-trial managers
- Those researching:

  • Autoimmunity
  • Cell therapy

Coverage will include, but is not limited to:

Molecular Mechanisms in Autoimmunity
   - Fundamental principles and pathways that shape the autoimmune disease microenvironment
   - How innate immune responses contribute to autoimmune diseases
         o The role of TLRs
   - Learnings from IO applied to autoimmunity
   - Interaction between the microbiome and the immune system

Advancing Autoimmune Treatments: Challenges and Breakthroughs
   - The current state of autoimmunity and future directions
   - CAR T for autoimmune diseases
   - ADCs for autoimmune diseases
   - Transient approaches
   - Improved B cell targeting
